Wash your hair less often
Over-washing can strip your hair of its natural oils, making it dry and brittle. Aim to wash your hair every other day, or even less often if you have dry hair - once or twice per week is optimal.
Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner 
Look for products that are sulfate-free and paraben-free.
